A brand new tourism venture, the Broome Explorer Bus, launches this week in Broome, connecting tourists and residents with the resort town’s famous landmarks and favourite tourist attractions.
Previously known as the Town Bus Service, the Broome Explorer Bus has re-invigorated a much-loved local service with an energetic new brand and a stylish new look, aimed at celebrating Broome’s iconic attractions. Explorer tickets aboard the ‘BE’ bus will be valid for unlimited travel as a 1 day or 3 day pass, including value holiday deals at some of Broome’s favourite restaurants and attractions plus plans for an informative commentary which shares Broome’s unique stories.
The decision to invest in Broome’s tourism future was made easier for owners Melissa and Scott McDougall through the provision of a federal grant under the AusIndustry Tourism Entrepreneurs programme. “Our tourism community has been working hard to secure funding commitment to stimulate tourism in Broome for some time. This programme together with the recent commitment to deliver consistent, affordable airfares to Broome, has given us the confidence in our tourism future to invest”, said Melissa.
The Broome Explorer Bus launches its first service this week and tickets start from $15 for a 24 hour Explorer Pass and $35 for a 72 hour pass per adults. All kids travelling with their family/parents ride for free .
Tickets are available on the Explorer Bus and will soon be available to be booked online at www.bebus.com.au through the Broome Visitor Centre and all accommodation properties in Broome.
