Horizon Power invites suppliers local to the Warmun and Kalumburu Communities to register their interest for opportunities that arise from the delivery of the Centralised Solar Program. This program will deliver solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Warmun and Kalumburu. Horizon Power will be tendering to EPC contractors (Head Contractors) for these sites on or about 20 May 2019.

Horizon Power is committed to implementing the State Government’s Aboriginal Procurement Policy and Western Australian Industry Participation Strategy (WAIPS). To support these objectives, potential EPC Contractors will be requested to demonstrate an active commitment to Aboriginal and local business engagement, with a focus on these communities.

The scope of the EPC works includes:

  • Civil works services including land clearing, levelling and fencing;
  • Solar works including installation of arrays, cabling and associated electrical works;
  • Ancillary services that may include project or off-site works (Accommodation, catering, transport, etc.).

All potential suppliers from the East Kimberley Region are encouraged to register their interest by emailing solarfarm@horizonpower.com.au by no later than 20 May 2019 quoting the reference HP01815 – Kalumburu and / or HP01816 – Warmun, stating the business name, contact details and business location together with a summary of goods or services available.

Horizon Power will also provide EPC Contractors with information on using Supply Nation and the Aboriginal Business Directory of Western Australia and strongly encourages eligible Aboriginal businesses to consider registering on these directories.

This registration is for expression of interest purposes only and no guarantee of work is made.
