The State Government has announced new funding for infrastructure on the Dampier Peninsula. $3.9 million has been given to improve tourism facilities and signage which will include upgraded toilets, shade and picnic facilities at Beagle Bay. The money will also see improvements to access roads at Ardyaloon Community, upgrades to the road into Kooljaman Resort and better signage and fencing to protected sites. The McGowan Government has approved the $110 million facility at the Port of Broome which will position Broome as the future hub for growing the oil and gas industry. The jetty would be about 290 metres long which would lead to a floating pontoon.  The new facility will complement port upgrades already undertaken by the mcGowan Government this year with recently completed channel dredging.
